Ronald McDonald House Charities

Coming soon…

Currently working on building a visual portfolio so that you can see first-hand my nonprofit, but here are some fun things to know while you wait:

Throughout my tenure so far, I have coordinated 4 major fundraising events along with 2 minor events, managing logistics, promotion, sponsorships, and post-event reporting to drive donor engagement and revenue. This included engaging with the community through third-party fundraising and community events with other non-profits and businesses along the Gulf Coast.

I strategized our social media by generating what posts would be best for Facebook vs. Instagram (our 2 platforms). With my previous experience, I found it insightful to create our first-ever social media calendar to make sure that deadlines were met and content was produced in a timely manner. Social media allows for fun, trendy posts, but with our brand, we mostly focused on fundraising, events, and storytelling of our resilient families. When comparing the numbers of the year before I started my role versus after, I increased Ronald McDonald House’s reach by 66% and engagement by 53%, which highlights the importance of learning your audience and having an organized social calendar.

I designed branded marketing assets for email, print, and digital campaigns to support donor communication, appeals, and event promotion with the use of Canva for speedy designs and Adobe Creative Suite for more in-depth visual communication pieces.

I produced monthly newsletters, event press releases, direct mail appeals, and signage to support fundraising and outreach while remaining true to our global brand.

There was tons of time spent of the phone! This heightened my communication and relationship skills by forming strong connections for donors and sponsors. Whether through community events or behind the screen with digital marketing, I was always aiming for our ongoing support through in-kind donations or monetary donations.
